Job Description
We are currently seeking an individual for the position of Associate Director, Business Development and Sales to work in our Cambridge, MA location. This is not a remote work position. The qualified candidate will manage our Cambrdige BD Team; interact with clients to introduce our products and services. You will be part of an exciting international team. Client Details We are a global company providing high-quality products and model systems for preclinical discovery, testing, and development of new drugs and therapeutic solutions. It serves the biotechnology and biomedical community, pharmaceutical industry as well as academic and government research institutions. We are a leading one-stop service center for production, distribution, phenotyping and contract research of genetically engineered mouse models (GEMMs) for partners across the world. With advanced gene editing technology, we have created a collection of over 22,000 GEMMs for therapeutic applications such as tumor therapies, metabolic diseases, cardiovascular diseases, pharmacology studies and others. We are currently operating in multiple locations in North American and Asian Pacific regions including the United States, China and Korea. Description Oversee and manage the operations of the Cambridge BD Team. Expand client relationships and identify new clients to establish business relationships. Work closely with CEO in exploring new business directions. Advocate for genetically engineered mouse models and their value to biomedical research. Present products and services to potential customers with scientific rigor and business wisdom. Create business plans and manage research and development projects with clients. Develop numerous communication, operational, and business skills; industry knowledge a must. Profile Degree in life sciences, medicine, or related discipline. PhD in immunology, oncology, neuroscience, metabolism or other major areas of research or equivalent is preferred. Experience with molecular genetics, transgenic mice, immuno-oncology, immunotherapy, and biopharma experience is required. Hands on experience in vivo pharmacology, cell engineering, and genetically engineered mouse models (GEMM). 5 years of experience in managing employees in sales related to life sciences. Highly effective at overcoming obstacles with strong interpersonal communication skills. Excellent scientific writing and analytical skills required. Skilled in conducting business and sales presentations with scientific rigor. Demonstrated ability to work effectively on concurrent projects. Be able to travel in the US and internationally with expected travel time of 10% or more. Multilingual is an asset. Passionate about biomedical research, enjoy working in a start-up environment and is self-motivated. Sensible to social, economic and cultural differences.
