Associate Scientist II

Title: Associate Scientist II Location: North Chicago, IL Start date: ASAP Our client is looking for the following: Responsibilities: Bench skills (mixing formulations, pipetting, physical characterization of samples) Electronic lab notebook usage and experiment documentation including strong organizational skills Independent problem solving, experiment design, and technical trouble shooting skills Ability to pickup new bench techniques quickly ??? working with emulsion systems and organic solvents, write protocols and reports and present results to a cross-functional team. Impact projects predominantly through lab activities. Perform routine tasks competently and independently, and generate reliable and consistent results. Troubleshoot experiments and instrumentation. Learn and understand new experimental techniques. Place data in proper scientific context by consulting and citing relevant literature. With the following credentials: Requirements: Must demonstrate strong problem solving and communication skills and be a team player. Must possess a BA/BS in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related field with at least two years of relevant experience. Shall be able to multitask and plan work to meet project deadlines. Analyze and critique results, noting significant deviations. Demonstrate skill in multiple techniques and appropriately modify protocols, as required, to suit the changing needs of research or development sciences. Demonstrate technical proficiency in his/her field. Understand and adhere to corporate standards regarding code of conduct and safety.
