CorTech is seeking to hire a Formulation Scientist 2 for our client in Research Triangle Park, NC Benefits Available Weekly Pay $50.00/Hour Client Technologies and Innovation seeks a scientist to work as a member of a multi-disciplinary Innovation team that is developing medical technologies and solutions with an initial focus on interventional medical devices. This position will be responsible for the assessment, development, and testing of new technologies for a range of medical devices, including drug-device combination products. The candidate is expected to design and execute experiments aimed at developing formulations for enabling controlled release of drugs/proteins, and improving our understanding of the drug-material-tissue interactions impacting the performance of medical devices. Specific expertise is sought in the areas of formulation development using soft matter (polymers, colloids, etc.), materials structure-property elucidation, and controlled delivery of drugs or proteins. The incumbent will carry out experimental studies relating to drug/device combination technology within the Interventional Innovation R&D team at Client Technologies and Innovation (Client). Specifically, the candidate will provide expertise in drug formulation and delivery technologies, soft materials characterization, and drug-biomaterials-tissue interactions. They will work with project team members to plan and execute technical assessments of coatings for medical devices and drug delivery technologies/products. Additional areas for technical assessment may be included as well, for example biocompatible implants and materials for use in surgical procedures. They will be responsible for the execution of technical work and communication of results to various stakeholders. Additional responsibilities include investigating and resolving technical problems and managing different workstreams to meet program objectives and timelines. The candidate will author/review SOPs, test/project reports, and other documents as required to execute studies in the laboratory. The incumbent is expected to work closely with other R&D project team members and support functions, contribute intellectual property, create experimental designs/test methods, and analyze experimental data.
