**This Opportunity**
WSP is currently initiating a search for a **Hydrogeolgist II or Environmental Engineer II** for our **Tampa, FL office** . Be involved in projects with our **Earth & Environment Team** and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client’s objectives and solves their challenges.
**Your Impact**
This is an early career position with responsibilities including supervision of remedial contractors (engineers) and drilling (hydrogeologists), collection of environmental media samples, and associated reporting. The candidate will perform engineering design, hydrologic and hydraulic analyses, and other environmental work in support of private and public clients in Florida and other states. The candidate must demonstrate a high degree of initiative, technical competence and flexibility. This position is an opportunity to work on complex water resources or water/wastewater/reclaimed water projects under the direction of a talented team of professionals.
**Who You Are**
**Required Qualifications**
+ Bachelor’s Degree in Geology, Hydrogeology, or closely related discipline.
+ 3 to 5 years of experience working as a Geologist.
+ OSHA HAZWOPER 40-HOUR Training, required
+ Professional Geologist/Professional Engineer preferred, not required
+ Fundamentals of Geology (FG)/Engineer-in-Training (EIT) required
+ Ability and willingness to work overtime (as needed) in both office and field, including overnight travel. Flexibility to travel via land and air to locations in the United States and work on periodic extended field assignments
+ Computer use and applications skills required, including MS Word, MS Excel, and Adobe Acrobat
+ Experience conducting phase I environmental site assessments following ASTM International Standard E 1527-13 is preferred
+ Must be able to pass a HAZWOPER physical and be medically able to wear a tight-fitting respirator.
+ Must successfully complete and pass WSP’s Motor Vehicle screening.
+ Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.
This role is subject to a client-mandated drug/alcohol testing policy. As such, employee may be subject to random drug/alcohol tests. A copy of this policy will be provided during employee onboarding and is available upon applicant request.
