Junior Chemist

Our client is an established and growing raw ingredients supplier supporting global consumer products markets. They are looking to add a Junior Chemist to their team. Salary/Hourly Rate: $20/hr – $25/hr Depending on experience Position Overview: The Junior Chemist will work in a friendly, dynamic consumer products group and assist in sample processing and lab testing on consumer and natural products. Responsibilities of the Junior Chemist: Identify and process samples for testing and applications. Perform chemical and physical testing on raw ingredients using advanced analytical equipment, e.g. GC/MS. Analyze test data and document and report results to support projects assigned. Follow GMP and SOP and other applicable guidelines and protocols. Assist in maintaining the laboratory and equipment and ensure a safe lab environment. Assist in other projects assigned. Qualifications for the Junior Chemist: Experience or training in analytical separation and instrumentation Experience in GC, GC/MS, HPLC, titration, distillation, extraction, specific gravity, headspace collections etc. Good computer and lab data reporting skills. Organized, detailed, and problem-solving skills. Education Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Food Science, or related disciplines is required.
