Your Benefits Hybrid work schedule Hiring Bonus: $1500 after 90 days, $1000 after 12 months 6% 401(k) company match Explore more benefits at www.schaefflerbenefits.com Your Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and execute experiments for evaluating a variety of composite materials and coatings Screen, test, and analyze performance and quality metrics of sample materials made in Wooster lab or provided by vendors Design experiments for evaluating performance of new materials being tested for different applications Develop advanced characterization techniques and maintain equipment for both testing materials properties Work collaboratively with other Schaeffler groups to create step-change improvements Build relationships with chemical suppliers for materials for materials selection and purchase Your Qualifications Bachelor or higher degree in a material science & engineering or related fields and one year of practical experience Understanding of the chemistry & physics of composites, materials, and coatings Minimum one year of experience of chemistry/physics laboratory Extremely self-motivated & driven to achieve results Continuous improvement approach Hands on experience with characterization techniques such as microscopy and spectroscopy Assertive approach to solving problems Ability to prioritize and make decisions Exciting assignments and outstanding development opportunities await you because we impact the future with innovation.
