Plant Safety Specialist

Plant Safety Specialist Location: Cleveland, OH Description: This opportunity is with a high-purity specialty chemical manufacturer located in the Cleveland, OH area. This is an on-site role supporting 2 different facilities in the local area. You’ll be responsible for providing regulatory and technical support to the site – safety procedures & processes, training employees, enhancing confined spaces/entries, LOTO, ensuring compliance with EHS regulations, collaborating with contractors, and assisting production teams with continuous improvement projects. 50% of this role will be out in the field, having an active presence amongst the teams on site. You’ll be working directly and reporting to the EHS Manager. This company is determined to continue its safety initiatives by bringing you on board. You’ll gain exposure to all programs and can grow within the company. Minimum Requirements: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Safety, or Engineering, will consider closely related 2 years experience in an environmental, safety, & health role Preferably out of a PSM chemical manufacturing plant, but other industries will be considered Safety experience is required, other programs can be taught Experience with lockout/tagout, confined space, root-cause, JSA’s, and training procedures is ideal
