Program Manager-R&D- Medical Device

We are seeking a highly motivated Program Manager with Product Development and R&D experience in the Medical Device space to join our client. In this role, you will be responsible for leading complex, cross-functional projects from ideation to commercialization for our medical device products. You will also be responsible for managing the R&D function, driving innovation and leading research efforts to inform product development. Client Details This is a company that specializes in advanced engineering and manufacturing solutions for the life sciences industry. They offer a range of services such as laser cutting, drilling, and welding, nitinol shape setting, and electropolishing. The medical device manufacturer has over 30 years of experience in micro-manufacturing and has 14 manufacturing facilities across the globe. Their cutting-edge technology and technical team allow them to provide innovative solutions that meet their customer’s technical and economic requirements. Description The Program Manager will be responsible for: Lead complex, cross-functional projects from ideation to commercialization for medical device products, in collaboration with cross-functional teams. Manage project scope, timelines, budgets, and resources, and communicate project status to internal and external stakeholders. Collaborate with R&D and other functions to develop and execute research strategies to inform product development. Drive innovation through leading the R&D function, ensuring that new technologies and ideas are explored and evaluated for their potential impact. Ensure that all products are developed in compliance with regulatory requirements, including FDA and ISO standards. Foster a culture of continuous improvement, by analyzing project performance metrics, identifying opportunities for improvement, and implementing corrective actions. Profile The successful Program Manager will have MOST of the expereince listed below: Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field, Master’s degree preferred. Minimum of 10 years of experience in product development and R&D, preferably in the medical device industry. Experience in program management, leading cross-functional teams, and managing multiple projects simultaneously. Strong knowledge of medical device development processes, regulations, and standards (e.g., FDA, ISO). Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners. Demonstrated ability to deliver projects on-time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Experience with Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions. Experience leading R&D efforts and driving innovation.
