R&D Scientist

We have a client in Fox Chapel seeking a R&D Scientist Duties: – Work in collaboration with Operations for successful scale-up of R & D products in production. – Responsible for the creation of project plans and timelines for assigned projects, providing timely updates and other reports as directed, and conducting presentations (internal and external) as needed – Provide technical support to Marketing, Sales, Engineering, Manufacturing, and other Product Development staff – Provide technical knowledge and leadership in Adhesives, Sealant and Coatings related raw materials Requirements: – MS in Chemistry/Materials Science/Chemical Engineering/ Polymer Science with 6 years of experience or, PhD in Chemistry/Materials Science/Chemical Engineering/ Polymer Science with 3 years of experience – understanding of different chemistries including silicone, epoxy, urethane, UV curing, etc – Familiar with analytical analysis techniques, such as FT-IR, DSC, TGA, GC-MS, GPC and different kinds of physical properties testing – Experience with statistical analysis tools as needed, such as DOE for preselecting candidates based on DOE test results
