**This Opportunity**

WSP is seeking a Senior Environmental Geologist with 7 to 10 years consulting experience to join our Pacific Northwest Site Assessment & Remediation Team. We offer flexible working arrangements to help with work/life balance, and have offices in Portland, OR and Seattle WA metropolitan areas. WSP’s Pacific Northwest Remediation Team offers environmental investigation, remediation, and related services to a diverse set of clients, including industrial/commercial companies, local and state agencies, and the federal government. Project locations are local, regional, and nationwide. We have in-house experts in chemistry, risk assessment, data management, graphics/GIS, geology, hydrogeology, hydraulics and hydrology, engineering, and industrial hygiene who support projects in the Pacific Northwest and many other locations, and have access to subject matter experts worldwide. The position requires a self-motivated candidate able to work as part of local, regional, or national project teams, and offers flexible work locations and schedule.

**Your Impact**

This person will help solve problems and document solutions, express ideas through strong technical writing and verbal communication, and support technical reports, plans, and calculations in a consulting environment. The position will include work on a variety of multi-disciplinary projects, with substantial emphasis on soil, soil vapor/gas, groundwater, surface water, and stormwater investigations and remediation systems; chemical fate and transport assessment; hazardous waste management; permitting; and site planning. This person will be a member or leader of teams providing environmental consulting services to commercial and government clients and will perform complex technical tasks under oversight of more experienced technical reviewers/directors as appropriate. **Who You Are**

**Required Qualifications**

+ B.S. or higher in Geosciences, Environmental Sciences, or related discipline

+ Professional registration in Oregon or Washington (preferably both) as a Geologist or Hydrogeologist

+ 7 to 10 years of environmental consulting experience focused on site investigation, remediation and related areas

+ Experienced and proficient with WA (especially MTCA), OR and USEPA regulations

+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills

+ Consistent and highly accurate project work

+ Ability to work efficiently and demonstrate effective organizational skills

+ Comfortable working within both small and large project teams to achieve objectives

+ Demonstrated proficiency leading teams and managing project tasks and small-mid-sized projects

+ Ability to work in industrial and field environments as well as in the office

+ Flexible to work outside of business hours, when necessary

+ Proficiency with MS Office: Excel, Word, and Outlook, in particular

+ Must pass background check and must have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the company’s driving (MVR) policy#LI-SS2
