Your Key Responsibilities The goal of the Specialist – Logistics is being responsible for a combination of interdisciplinary supply chain tasks. These tasks have a common goal to increase output and communication while upholding strict safety standards in the warehouse environment in the Schaeffler Group North America, in Piedmont, Alabama facility. Reaches departmental objectives by orienting, training, assigning, coaching & disciplining employees Monitors and attains inventory budgets considering historical demand development, market trends, business developments, and seasonality impacts Drives process improvements, ensures quality of purchased planning process Harmonizes and creates strategical processes and KPl’s, offers guidance and introduction of SCM methods, optimizes global material flow Designs, develops, and modifies data to accelerate data analysis and reporting within SCM Oversees integration of new technologies and initiatives into data standards & structures Reviews presentations, manuscripts, graphs, and tables for accuracy and quality Collaborates with stakeholders Identifies / addresses root causes for main KPIs deviations (ie inventory, DSL, backorders) Develops clear, concise presentations & communication to all levels of the organization (warehouse employees to upper-level management) Your Qualifications Education Bachelor’s degree in engineering, supply chain management, or equivalent experience in a related field Technical Superior knowledge of the automotive manufacturing industry Business acumen SAP EP1/R3 & Proficient in Microsoft Office Technical training in inventory management, material requirement planning, capacity management, & manufacturing orders preferred Strong knowledge of logistics in production department & supply chain preferred Interpersonal Excellent communication ability (written & verbal) Advanced presentation skills Extremely self-motivated & driven to achieve results Continuous improvement approach Assertive approach to solving problems Ability to prioritize, plan, multi-task and make decisions Must have ability to resolve conflicts while multitasking and completing required work according to customer demand Conduct oneself in a professional manner and function as a team member in a group environment We look forward to your application.
