Curries (an ASSA ABLOY company) is looking for a Warranty and After-Sales Support Specialist who will be on-site and based out of our Mason City, Iowa location. ASSA ABLOY is a global leader in opening access solutions. Our Group focuses on the manufacturing of steel doors and frames within the commercial market catering to such industries as hospitality, healthcare, aerospace and defense, sports stadiums and educational markets. What would you do as our Warranty and After-Sales Support Specialist? Be the primary communication link between CURRIES and the Distributor, as well as the Sales Organization, Architects and Contractors on all technical support related to but not limited to the following areas: labelling (all certification agencies – fire, windstorm, and sound ratings), product customization, manufacturability, thermal performance, paint compatibility and all questions concerning CURRIES manufacturing and labelled product capabilities. You would also: Be a receptive listener to the Distributor comments and requests. Take these requests and perform appropriate research to determine compliance with said requests and communicate effectively back to the customer the correct course of action Write detailed responses to customer requests as required regarding specifications, product details, etc. Function as the one-stop source for all technical information regarding CURRIES products for Distributors, Sales, Architects, Contractors, and Customer Service Develop and maintain easy access areas for all technical information Assist web developers in presentation of technical information on the CURRIES website Work closely with CURRIES Manufacturing and Engineering to develop and maintain standards and testing based on market “Voice of the Customer” Maintain accurate communication with Salespeople regarding Distributor inquiries and resolution Catalog all inquiries from Distributors, Sales, and Architects to determine a knowledge database for future inquiries with the intention of developing and maintaining a “Frequently Asked Question Portal” This position has the responsibility and authority to perform all job-related quality activities as defined in this job description and in the specific related procedures and work instructions This position has the authority to stop action on work until concerns are resolved and to initiate and/or participate in identifying and implementing actions to correct existing concerns and prevent future occurrences Other duties as assigned The Skills and Experience you need: Minimum 2-year degree in Business, Communications, or related area of study – or – 10 years relevant work experience Ability to communicate effectively, utilizing both verbal and written communications Detail-oriented with the ability to interpret and communicate technical information Willingness and ability to work with all areas of CURRIES – Engineering, Customer Service, Order Processing, Manufacturing, Quality, Pricing and Drafting Ability to locate and interpret information contained within the vast archives of CURRIES technical information, as well as UL and Intertek follow-up procedures Ability to read, interpret and comprehend project specifications and communicate compliance back to customers What we offer We are passionate about providing amazing opportunities and benefits, so you can continue and progress a lifelong career with us – here’s what we have to offer: Learning and career development opportunities, whether it’s online learning, management training or enhancing your skills.
