Are you passionate about the power of geographic information systems (GIS) to drive informed decision-making?  Are you ready to contribute your skills to help transform raw data into meaningful spatial insights?  If so, join us at Associated Electric Cooperative, Inc. where we are seeking a talented GIS Analyst to join our team and play a pivotal role leveraging spatial data in the management of infrastructure assets. As our GIS Analyst, you will support the objectives of our GIS program by assisting in the operations, maintenance, and support of the ArcGIS Enterprise platform.  Project planning and management, spatial analysis, and results interpretation will be a big part of your day-to-day to support our mission to provide reliable and low-cost power to our member-owners.

What Else?

  • Develop and maintain GIS datasets of AECI’s infrastructure, ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate GIS data with other applications to develop customized geospatial solutions.
  • Execute initiatives of the GIS strategic plan
  • Provide training to educate staff on GIS resources, projects, and policies and procedures.
  • Stay current with industry trends and integrate new GIS technologies into workflows.


  • Bachelor’s degree in GIS, Geography, or a related field; or equivalent work or military experience.  Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Proven experience as a GIS Analyst with a minimum of 3 years in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in ESRI GIS products (i.e., ArcGIS Pro, Hub, Portal, ArcGIS Online, StoryMaps).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and presentation abilities.
