AECOM’s GIS Team in Perth has a fantastic opportunity for a highly driven spatial systems analyst to support a varied range of projects across the region. As part of this role you will support and maintain the AECOM platforms, collection tools and data management procedures. In addition, you will support day-to-day GIS requirements including the creation and maintenance of metadata, map production, GIS analysis, technical software user support and troubleshooting user errors.

This role is suited to a professional with 2+ years’ relevant professional experience. You will have previous experience, or strong interest, in the application of GIS to Earth Science and Environmental Science and demonstrated skills in managing work packages and small projects.

Job Description

What will a day in this role look like:

  • Analysis, design, development, testing & checking and documentation of spatial information products and services.
  • Geoprocessing and spatial analysis of collected field data.
  • Gathering data and use of information management, implement database design, review data integrity and manage data integration.
  • Working in multidisciplinary teams and various stakeholders to deliver a common goal across kay transport projects.

Qualifications

The following qualifications and experience are highly desired, but if you don’t tick all the boxes you could still be a perfect fit for this role. Please apply, all applications will be considered.  

What are we looking for from you?  

  • Basic understanding of CAD datasets and conversions to GIS.
  • Prior experience of ESRI ArcGIS Pro at a high level (incl.  Data Driven Pages, ModelBuilder, advanced label expressions, figure production and data analysis).
  • Approachable, adaptable and confident in dealing with users at all levels.
  • Basic understanding of CAD datasets and conversions to GIS.
  • The ability to employ self-motivation, working to deadlines and a pro-active attitude to work well as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
