Join us.Job Description• Performs specific and moderate portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer. • Gathers and correlates basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures. • Works on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations and relatively simple tests. • Proposes approach to solve new problems encountered using modifications of standard procedures or methods developed in previous assignments. • Identifies discrepancies in results. • Provides guidance to entry level engineers. • Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule with little supervision. • Independently performs all the tasks necessary to complete primary design elements for engineering works.  • Performance at this level requires developmental experience in a professional position. Job Summary•            Make a significant contribution to the, Ports & Marine Group.•            Develop the Coastal and Marine Engineering discipline to enable AECOM to be a leader in the Middle East region. Duties & Responsibilities•            Contribute to the Ports & Marine Group.•            Skills – Develop and retain a high level of technical skill.•            Particular skills to include:o            7 to 20+ years’ experience in coastal or marine engineering;o            Extensive experience in the planning and design of marine structures such as breakwaters, revetments, marinas, scour protection systems, block work quaywalls, sheet pile, diaphragm walls, jetties.o            Extensive experience in the planning and design of artificial islands, beaches, marinas, harbours and water front development.o            Extensive knowledge in coastal modelling including hydrodynamic, waves and sediment transport modelling including knowledge of DHI Mike Zero and Delft modelling suites, Staad Pro, Plaxs, Geo5, Slope-W.o            Experience in the Middle East in a consultancy environment.o            Availability to travel within the Middle East;o            Availability to do occasional site supervision trips in UAE and Middle Easto            Experience in project management, proposal preparation and business development;  Desirable skillso            Experience in port planning and design of port structures; ando            Experience in geotechnical and foundation design of coastal and marine structures. Duties•            Project Delivery – Perform project management and “hands on” technical work to support the delivery of projects. Coordinate and supervise the work created by the marine team. Coordinate with other engineering disciplines through liaison with other professionals. Monitor the work of staff allocated to specific projects to ensure that technical competence and performance meets the requirements of allocated projects. Ensure that all projects are delivered on time and on budget.•            Clients – support the established client base in the Middle East market. Maintain harmonious client relationships as the project and local market level.•            Continuous Improvement – A commitment to continual professional development.
