Join us.Job DescriptionAECOM Burnaby is seeking an experienced Senior Environmental Professional to support our Canadian Remediation team. We are looking for a technically proficient, enthusiastic individual. Our ideal candidate has the people skills to grow and mentor staff and the technical experience to support clients in a “trusted-advisor” capacity. This is a Full-time role.Responsibilities for this position include:Exhibiting personal safety leadership in the oversight and execution of all work.Provision of technical expertise in support of ongoing AECOM assessment and remediation projects, including the review of work scopes and client deliverablesDemonstrating creativity, foresight, and mature judgment in anticipating and solving both routine and unusual project delivery and technical problems.The ability to mentor a team of environmental professionals to achieve their potential.Development and management of client-facing relationships.Development of strategic proposals and budgets in support of work opportunities.Regularly communicate with regulators, clients, and other AECOM technical staff/project managers.QualificationsMinimum Requirements:Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant engineering discipline (Civil, Chemical, Environmental, etc.) or sciences: (Environmental etc.)8+ years consulting experience leading assessment and remediation projectsAbility to provide professional sign-off on remediation reports according to the BC Environmental Management Act and Contaminated Sites Regulation.Valid Driver's LicensePreferred Qualifications:Professional Engineer, Geologist or Agrologist registered in BCContaminated Sites Approved Professional (CSAP) or eligible for registration as a CSAPIdeally 15-20 years of consulting and/or industry experienceExperience with Regulatory Applications and Documentation in BCExperience with Site inspection, Regulatory and Environmental Compliance, Geological and Hydrogeological Evaluation, Conceptual Site Model development and validation and Risk AssessmentExperience in Contract Management/AdministrationProven track record with regulatory advocacy and obtaining site closureAbility to apply environmental quality guidelines to data collected from various media and land usesExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong interpersonal and organizational skillsStrong client management skillsDemonstrated effectiveness in building working relationships and participating in multidiscipline teamsExcellent knowledge of Microsoft Project, Excel and WordCan-do, positive attitude and an ability to work in a fast-paced, challenging environmentAdditional InformationRelocation is not available for this position.Sponsorship for Canadian employment authorization is not available for this position.Offered rate of compensation in Burnaby, BC will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location.
