Join us.Job DescriptionWe’re seeking an experienced Senior Geo-Environmental Consultant or Hydrogeologist to add to our talented team. This is a fantastic opportunity to further your career within an established and successful company that has ESG and staff wellbeing as core values. You will be based in our Dublin office, but our Freedom to Grow policy provides for flexible and hybrid work options to enable you to achieve a rewarding work-life balance. About youYou’ll be an ambitious team player with the technical and commercial skills, knowledge, and experience to take day-to-day responsibility for delivering small projects or portions of larger projects, capable of completing your own work to a high standard and coordinating and reviewing the work of more junior staff.You’ll be comfortable working with a high degree of independence to ensure technical quality and adherence to budget and programme, determining your own work priorities and managing your schedule accordingly. You’ll be able to prepare fee proposals and lead the input to projects across all stages from desk study and feasibility through ground investigation and assessment, through to remediation.You will work on:Environmental assessments – PSA, DSA, QRA, CSM developmentGroundwater and surface water monitoringSite investigation design and implementationRemediation design, implementation and validationWaste classification and excavated soils managementYour role will include:Planning and delivery of technical scopeDeveloping fee proposals for internal and external clientsManagement of technical work, programme and financial performanceLiaising with clients, coordinating field service subcontractors and laboratory servicesSupervision and mentoring of junior staffEnsuring effective implementation of the AECOM quality management systemPrioritising Health and Safety in all aspects of deliveryAbout usWe are one of the largest contaminated land/remediation-focused teams in Ireland, serving a wide range of end markets and clients. Our experts provide one-stop access to services ranging from desk studies, site investigation, risk assessment, remediation (strategy development, design, implementation and validation), monitoring and close-out on a wide range of contracts.The Remediation team is part of AECOM’s broader Environment, Water & Energy business in Ireland, providing specialist services to clients in the areas of permitting and compliance, environmental impact assessment, water, renewable energy, waste, sustainability and ecology, among others.We work for leading Irish and international clients on commissions of varying scale for both public sector bodies and high-profile private sector clients across the commercial development, aviation, rail, power, transportation, technology, chemical and pharmaceutical sectors.QualificationsHere’s what we will need from you:Relevant experience, knowledge and skillsStrong understanding of contaminated land assessment regulations and guidanceHands-on experience within field investigation, including site management, drilling supervision, collection of groundwater and ground gas samples, or the supervision of remediation activities.Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to write clear and concise technical reports and documents.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and inter-personal skillsAbility to work collaboratively with colleagues and clients in a multi-disciplinary environmentClean driving licenceAmenable to occasional travel within Ireland and the UKFor this role you will ideally hold a degree in a relevant environmental science, hydrogeology or engineering based subject and you will be working towards chartership.If you can fulfil these requirements but other factors are holding you back from applying, please get in touch so we can work together to address any concerns you may have.Additional InformationYou can learn more about us here: 2023 AECOM Candidate Brochure (adobe.com) #LI-AP1About AECOMAECOM is the world’s trusted infrastructure consulting firm, delivering professional services throughout the project lifecycle – from advisory, planning, design and engineering to program and construction management.
