Join us.Job DescriptionAECOM is actively seeking a talented and experienced Project Manager to lead federal environmental investigation and remediation projects.  This candidate will be based out of the Latham, NY office, however; can work remotely. Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, those listed below:Familiar with project invoicing and cash flow managementSupervise and manage a small team of 3-8 professional staff engaged in complex environmental projectsFamiliar and practiced in developing complex, detailed cost estimates, subcontractor bid packages, and supporting technical proposal developmentPrioritize and enforce adherence to ethical and safety standardsLeads teams using sound financial management along with advanced scientific principles, theories, and practicesManage and interpret various types of environmental data, conduct analyses, compare findings to relevant studies and local, state, and federal regulations to ensure complianceAnalyze financial statements and complete budget trackingPerform work with minimal direction with periodic reporting to area managerOversee the preparation of work plans and organize project studiesPerform complex assignments often requiring the development of unique solutions to problems with the support of the project teamSupervise junior and mid-level staff during all phases of project workConduct reviews and provides staff feedback for continued improvementQualificationsMinimum RequirementsBA/BS in Geology, Engineering, or related field with + 8 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or educationMust be able to pass a background checkDue to the nature of the work U.S. Citizenship is requiredPreferred QualificationsExperience leading and managing multi-disciplined, diverse, technical  teams and successfully managing complex remediation projects for USACE and/or AFCECProfessional License (PE, PG) and/or (PMP)10+ years’ experience in environmental investigation and remediation (soil, water, sediment, PFAS, munitions) project managementMaster’s degree in Geology, Environmental, Civil, or Chemical Engineering, or related degreeExperience with regulator and stakeholder negotiationsExperience successfully managing environmental projects for Federal clients, including USACE, AFCEC, ANG, ARNG, and EPA. Thorough working knowledge of RCRA and CERCLADetail-oriented with strong organizational and communication (verbal and written) skillsExperience in team management and scheduling of staff and resources to ensure on time and on budget project deliverySuperior communication, writing, editing, and reporting skills for a wide variety of audiencesExperience preparing proposals, cost estimates, schedules, and project planning documents.Interest in business development and account managementHave led teams of professionals in executing Site Investigations, Remedial Investigations, Feasibility Studies, Risk Assessment, and Treatability Studies in support of Federal environmental projectsOvernight travel required on occasion. Additional InformationAECOM is proud to offer a comprehensive benefits program to meet the diverse needs of our employees.
